Black Bull Whisky Kyloe Rum Finish

Following the success of its limited edition 10 year old Rum Cask Finish, Black Bull Kyloe now has made the rum cask finish a core range release. The high-malt blended Scotch is finished in high quality rum casks before it was bottled at a robust 50% abv, resulting in a blended Scotch that has a creamy textur, with light brown sugar, crisp apple, and some tangy citrus notes.

Tasting notes

NOSE: A rich tropical fruit salad with coconut and melon. Sugary fruit pastilles and touches of sugarcane and candy floss. Some hints of powdered vanilla sugar.

PALATE: The rummy sweetness of the nose continues on the palate. A creamy texture. Light brown sugar, crisp apple and some tangy citrus. With time, becomes a tad more herbal with hints of fresh mint.

FINISH: More fruit, and some fresh almond nuttiness. Some vanilla oakiness balances the sweetness. Medium in length with some zesty citrus prolonging the finish. Appealing and moreish.
