Whisky Gone A Rye #2 is a special edition of Archie Rose’s Rye Malt Whisky matured in Australian apera casks and the sixteenth release in their Trials & Exceptions series. The Australian apera casks used to age this spirit were destined for maturing our Single Malt Whisky, but by happy accident, the 100 and 200-litre casks were instead filled with Rye Malt Whisky not once but three times.

Tasting notes

NOSE: Honey-poached peaches, pecan, ginger snaps, violets, raisins, toffee apple.

PALATE: Plums, candied orange, figs, creme brulee and maple coated muesli.

FINISH: Orchard fruits, sweet baking spices and a touch of drying oak.
