At the Tobermory Distillery, they produce two distinct single malts made for half the year each. A non-peated Tobermory and a heavily-peated Ledaig (pronounced “leh-chik”). Each malt reflects the inspiring island – from the bright, vibrant and fruity Tobermory to the more robust, peated Ledaig, with sweet smoke and earthy notes.
The stills at the Tobermory are short and fat and contribute much to the base oily character of this distillery.
