Springbank has been distilling since 1828. With a character all of its own, thanks to the use of lightly peated barley and a unique two-and-a-half-times distillation process, it is a complex, full bodied maritime dram. The flagship whisky is available in bottlings of 10, 12, 15, 18 and 21-year-olds, with each having slightly different palates and finishes.

The 1998 Vintage is a very rare single malt release from Springbank Distillery, and is the first in the new Vintage Series. It is bottled at 48.3% abv, and was fully matured in oloroso sherry casks, with a limited run of 1,500 bottles worldwide. An absolute heavyweight!
Tasting notes
NOSE: Medjool dates, blackberries, white chocolate and caramel notes kick off this first edition in the series.
PALATE: There is an earthiness initially on the palate, with notes of shortbread, brandy butter and cloves developing over time.
FINISH: The finish brings notes of varnished wood, nutmeg and crystalized ginger.
