Mars Single Malt Tsunuki is made at the Tsunuki Distillery, nestled in the lush mountains of the southwestern Satsuma Peninsula where the climate leans towards hot and humid, as compared to Mars’s other distillery, the Komagatake Distillery, which is found high in the Japanese Alps.

The whisky of Tsunuki is full of rich fruity notes, with a lightly peated note that adds to the depth and complexity of this Japanese single malt. The 2022 release, is a lightly peated, rich single malt, made with whiskies distilled in 2016 and 2017, and aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks.

Tasting notes

NOSE: Aromas of taffy, fresh fruits, and candy.

PALATE: Zesty passion fruit, dark chocolate and a gentle whiff of smoke.

FINISH: Toffee and chocolate wafers with a spicy note.
