The name Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic, “Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain” which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Glengyle now produces a range of Kilkerran Single Malt whiskies, all natural in colour and non-chill filtered. All Kilkerran whisky characterises typical Campbeltown drams; rich, complex and perfectly balanced.

Distilled at the Glengyle Distillery of Campbeltown. A very heavily peated whisky, matured in 90% Bourbon and 10% Sherry Casks and bottled with no colouring and a natural hefty cask strength of 59.1%.
Nose : Fresh on the nose, reminiscent of morning dew, pine forest and damp gooseberry bushes, with a hemp, vegetal note developing over time.
Palate :The peat comes to the forefront in the palate with a characteristic sweetness detected in notes of toasted marshmallows and s’mores, along with hints of lemon drizzle cake and shortbread.
Finish :The finish sees the continuation of the sweet peat influence and the introduction of a salty note and hints of burnt pretzels and fresh green apples.
