The name Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic, “Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain” which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Glengyle now produces a range of Kilkerran Single Malt whiskies, all natural in colour and non-chill filtered. All Kilkerran whisky characterises typical Campbeltown drams; rich, complex and perfectly balanced.

A departure from our typically lightly peated single malt, the Heavily Peated Kilkerran is released twice per year at cask strength and around 45ppm. Although the maturation can vary, it is typically matured predominantly in ex-bourbon casks.
NOSE: Creamy butterscotch and notes of banana fritters and elderflower kick off this heavily peated dram.
PALATE: The peat smoke on the palate is complemented by notes of honeydew melon and Iberico ham.
FINISH: The smoke continues in the finish along with notes of verbena and honeycomb.
