Loch Gorm is exclusively matured in oloroso sherry casks from the renowned bodega, José y Miguel Martín. It is common for distilleries to use a variety of sherry producers but for Kilchoman’s consistent quality and character, it is vital that they source them all from just one bodega.
The combination of first-fill and refill sherry butts from José y Miguel Martín provides two separate styles of maturation. These ex-oloroso sherry casks impart a combination of heavy sherry notes, spicy dark chocolate, rich fruits and burnt sugar. This balances beautifully with the Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus fruits found within their farm crafted spirit.
The 2026 edition carries an explicit 10 Year Old age statement and was matured in 23 oloroso sherry butts from Bodega José y Miguel Martín — 20 first-fill casks for deeper sherry intensity and 3 second-fill casks to balance the profile with dark chocolate and orange peel.

NOSE: Dried red fruits, barbecued meats, toasted walnuts and rich peat smoke.
PALATE: Candied orange, tropical fruit, salted caramel and dried prunes, with warming cinnamon and nutmeg.
FINISH: Lasting spice, toasted dark chocolate and liquorice with balanced peat smoke.
