Drawn from five sherry butts filled in 2011, this bold Islay single malt delivers deep sherry richness layered with spice, dried fruits, and a commanding wave of BBQ smoke. Bottled at 55% ABV, with natural colour and no chill-filtration. The palate is rich with warming spice, dates, chocolate, and a herbal edge, finishing long with sweet smoke and savoury intensity. A robust and memorable dram that captures Kilchoman’s spirit in full stride.

Tasting notes

Nose: Rich and smoky with waves of BBQ glaze and charred raisins, complemented by dark cherry compote, cracked black pepper, and a punch of bold, earthy peat.

Palate: Full bodied and warming, delivering layers of clove, liquorice, and roasted nuts. Sherry soaked fruits add sweetness, while a thread of dark chocolate runs deep through the smoke.

Finish: Lingering and complex, with sweet spice, savoury peat, and a final flourish of grilled stone fruits, plums kissed by flame.
