Islay’s iconic distillery is known for its strong peat influence that comes with a whiff of iodine. This Octave Rare bottling was finished in an ex-sherry octave cask to give it a further boost in flavour and complexity. Drawn from cask #5633399, which yielded only 78 bottles.

Tasting notes

NOSE: Ginger and lime, soft sherry. Charred oak and spice. 

PALATE: Cajun spices, smoky sherry, red apple skins and hint of nuttiness. Oily and well balanced. 

FINISH: Very balanced smoke, sherry and saltiness. More charred oak emerging.
