Glentauchers was established in 1898 by James Buchanan & Co. to provide fillings for its Buchanan’s and Black & White blends, and today, Ballantine’s. It is known for producing whiskies from long ferments of 60 hours and slow distillation, resulting in a floral profile as opposed to an earthier spirit.

This single malt from Glentauchers is part of Duncan Taylor’s Octave series, which has undergone a second maturation in sherry octave casks that are about 1/8th the size of a butt. The result is an ‘Octave Invigorated’ whisky that has an expanded flavour profile of a mature, well-balanced Scotch Whisky.
This 14-year-old single malt spent 9 months in an octave cask before it was bottled. This was drawn from cask #8535929, which yielded just 94 bottles.
