Deanston Ltd Ed 1995 29 Year Old First Fill Cream Fino Sherry 55% (MY Exclusive)

Big, bold and gloriously sherried, this 29 Year Old single malt was hand-selected to feature in Deanston’s Warehouse 4 Tastings. As a special release to Malaysia only, the last few bottles from this cask have been hand bottles and now available for sale exclusively here.

Distilled on the 31st of December 1995, this whisky spent its first 20 years mellowing in classic ex-Bourbon casks. In April 2016, it moved into one of the sweetest styles of sherry cask: a first fill Cream Sherry Cask Numbered 33. Here it picked up outrageous juicy berry character, brioche sweetness and that unmistakable sherry-driven richness that work so perfectly with waxy Deanston.

This is a bottle absolutely not to be missed as we only managed to get a few bottles.

Tasting notes

NOSE: A medley of ripe summer berries drenched in cream are woven into notes of freshly baked brioche, balanced by gentle notes of raisins and nuts.

PALATE: Bold, rich, sherry-influence notes of dried fruit and wood spice are balanced by velvety vanilla ice cream.

FINISH: An initial fresh wood spice lingers, slowly giving way to subtle notes of sweet cream.
