This well-aged single malt from Dailuaine was matured in a bourbon barrel before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 50.1% abv. Only 164 bottles were produced from the barrel, capturing the essence of this distillery’s grassy nature, whilst imparting notes of pineapple cubes and crisp orchard fruits.
Tasting notes
NOSE: Vanilla, honey, orange peel and apricots.
PALATE: Tropical candied fruits, sugary shortbread with lingering vanilla and ginger.
FINISH: Long and sweet, with complex notes of citrus and sweet toffee apple.

Dailuaine single malt whiskies are very well regarded as sweet and assertive. However, because Dailuaine has never been a part of Diageo’s Classic Malts range, few official bottlings have been released.
For the same reason, independent bottlings are few and far between.
