This limited release was finished in rich Amarone wine casks, resulting in a dram with notes of caramelised walnuts, sweet blackcurrant jam, toasted malt and a gentle, warming spice.
Tasting notes
NOSE: Packed full of cherries and wild berries, with caramelised walnuts, vanilla and a touch of espresso.
TASTE: Initial sweetness of black figs and blackcurrant jam are met with toasted malt, cocoa, a warming cinnamon spice and a gentle hint of tobacco.
FINISH: Lingering finish with raisins and a sprinkle of black pepper.
