Arran 14 Year Old (2026)

46% | 70cl | Scotland (Isle of Arran) | NCF | Single Malt | Ex-Bourbon & Palo Cortado Sherry Casks

The Arran 14 Year Old is a beautifully balanced whisky, combining Bourbon Barrel sweetness, rare Palo Cortado Sherry influence and the unmistakable character of Arran Single Malt. It delivers exceptional quality, complexity and value at the heart of the Arran range.

Matured primarily in Bourbon Barrels and complemented by a proportion of rare Palo Cortado Sherry casks, this distinguished Arran Single Malt showcases the very best of both worlds. The Ex-Bourbon casks bring vibrant notes of vanilla, orchard fruit and citrus, while the Palo Cortado casks add layers of dried fruit, toasted nuts and subtle spice, creating a whisky of remarkable harmony and complexity.

Arran whisky calls the village of Lochranza home and is really the perfect location for producing the perfect Single Malt. They insist it is all about the water.

Every drop of Arran Single Malt starts its life as rainwater which pools at Loch na Davie in the beautiful hills behind the distillery.  The clear water cascades down the hillside, through six unassuming waterfalls, each one purifying the water further. The name of the burn, Easan Biorach, means ‘Sharp Waterfalls’ in Gaelic. This pure water is then used to create a clean, sweet dram which is entirely natural and unadulterated.  No added caramel or chill filtred.  Most of their whiskies are bottled at 46% abv, which means that it stands up well to dilution and adding a little splash of water.

Arran enjoys a warm microclimate – the atmosphere of sea breezes and clear mountain air, together with the warm flow of the Gulf Stream is ideal for the speedy maturation of single malts. The island has a reputation for producing the highest quality whisky. Awards 2014
