The 2025 edition of Springbank’s legendary Local Barley series is a true celebration of traditional, hyper-local Campbeltown distilling. Matured in a carefully selected combination of 60% Bourbon and 40% Sherry casks, this exceptional 10-year-old expression showcases the profound impact of locally grown barley. Bottled at a robust cask strength of 55.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, and entirely free of artificial coloring, it offers a beautifully rich and oily profile. The result is a single malt that’s beautifully rich and complex with sea salt spray, sweet vanilla cream, rich farmyard funk, ripe orchard fruits, and a delicate, lingering whisper of coastal peat smoke.

The Local Barley Series is one of Springbank’s most highly anticipated and this year’s edition is no exception. Initially planned to be a series of just five bottles, due to its popularity it is now part of the Springbank range as an annual limited release. 

Each year, they use different barley varieties, grown by different local farmers and up until now either matured fully in bourbon or mainly bourbon with some sherry influence.
