Distilled at the Glengyle Distillery of Campbeltown, this very heavily peated whisky was matured in 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry Casks and bottled at 58.6% abv with no added colouring. Creamy butterscotch and notes of banana fritters arrive on the nose, with peat smoke, honeydew melon and Iberico ham on the palate.

The first core release from the Glengyle Distillery, who share the same owners as Springbank, the Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a lightly peated and non-chill filtered whisky that been matured in a combination of 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks. Initially fruity with citrus notes and orange peel, after this: vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and digestive biscuits can all be tasted and enjoyed.
