Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky. Matured in American oak wine barrels that have been re-charred to create extra-fruity notes in the spirit, this is a single-cask whisky with notes of melon, mango, citrus, vanilla, oak spice and dates. This whisky was named the World’s Best Single Malt Whisky at Whisky Magazine’s way back in 2015 World Whiskies Awards.

Nose : Freshly baked apple pie with cinnamon and nutmeg, caramelised orchard fruits and rich dark chocolate. A touch of water and this whisky explodes with tropical fruits and citrus.

Palate : Rich and creamy vanilla fudge, espresso coffee, polished oak. Blackberries, blueberries and brambles.

Finish : Plums and figs, red apples and delicate spice. Touch of armagnac and Cabernet Sauvignon.
