This 31-year-old whisky from Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1987 and aged in a single sherry butt. Only 551 bottles were drawn from the cask.
COLOUR: Aged Bronze
NOSE: The nose conjures a highland wilderness with heather, gorse flowers and crisp autumn leaves. Old-fashioned leather walking boots and wax jackets evoke a hike in the Scottish Highlands.
PALATE: The beginning flavour is a deep sweetness like honey and demerara flapjacks. Savoury flavours appear as meaty and almost leathery whilst herbal notes of caraway and dried rosemary appear.
FINISH: The finish has a gentle smoke like flavour derived from the wood tannins.
