This annual limited edition release has an interesting cask make-up of 45% Sherry, 25% Bourbon, 25% Burgundy and a touch of Port as well.
NOSE: The Springbank characteristics are present from start to finish with the addition of bruised apples, mahogany, glazed cherries, sugar coated sweets (cola cubes) and tobacco leaves.
PALATE: Rich and sweet, with hints of chocolate orange, juicy red raspberries and strawberries and toasted gooey marshmallows.
FINISH: In the finish the tannins come through from the Burgundy casks and an earthy, dunnage warehouse funk with delightfully mouth drying peat smoke.
