This single malt from Dalmore is part of Duncan Taylor’s Premium Octave series, which has undergone a second maturation in octave casks to refine the whisky, enhancing its colour, taste, form and character.
The Octave Premium Range was launched in August 2019 showcasing years of maturation expertise in Octave casks, which are about 1/8th the size of a butt and each one creates around 80 to 100 bottles casks.
A well-reputed highland distillery founded in 1839, Dalmore is known for producing consistently good malts characterised by dense fruit with a cereal background made through maturation in ex-Sherry casks.
Tasting notes: Dark toffee, soft sherry, pronounced citrus notes with hints of marzipan. Very powerful and warming.
