Peat Chimney, another smoky whisky from the Wemyss Malts core range. Smoky Shores has an even more intense than the well liked Peat Chimney, a delicious smoky flavour – a real treat for peated whisky enthusiasts.
This small batch, hand-crafted limited edition is noted for its robust smokiness and maritime character, with subtle citrus notes.
Nose: Robust peaty smoke mingles with intense aromas of crushed mint leaves that fuse with aromatic rosemary.
Palate: A sudden and explosive mouthfeel comes to the fore with earthy white pepper and zesty lemons.
Finish: Bitter espresso sinks into the palate before a long salty mouthcoating drifts away.
For a modern twist on an absolute classic cocktail, try the new Smoky Shores in an Old Fashioned. This cocktail brings a new dimension to the intense smoke of our new release as a subtle burst of zesty orange adds intoxicating depths.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Smoky Shores
- 1 tsp Demerara Sugar
- 2-3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- Orange Zest Twist to Garnish
- Muddle the sugar and bitters in a chilled rocks glass.
- Pour in Smoky Shores, add a large ice cube and gently stir.
- Twist the orange peel over your glass to express the essential oils and drop in to garnish.
- Sip and enjoy!
