Sasanokawa Shuzo’s sake- and shochu-making days dates back all the way to 1765. However, almost 200 years later, they decided to dive into the whisky making market in 1946.
This blend of malt and grain whiskies pack a punch of flavour, thanks to its 59% abv.
On the nose, honey, barley and some citrus peel can be found, with notes of icing sugar, hay and orange on the palate. The finish is medium-long, with a hint of smoked spice.
