43% | 70cl | 100% Sherry Matured
Sherried malt whisky from the Highlands of Scotland. A super easy drinking dram
Made by a well known family in the Scotch circles, the Morrison family, who once owned and operated Bowmore, Auchentoshan and Glen Garioch. There are some bottlings of Old Perth in which the Macallan, Bunnahabhain, Highland Park, Glenrothes and Tamdhu distilleries are involved in descending proportions. This explains the color, given the age. At least for a short time, these distilleries were all under the umbrella of the Highland Distillers, now part of the Edrington Group.
NOSE: Very mild at first, but after a few minutes it begins to open. Dried fruits, mainly figs. Sugary sweet in character. A hint of bitter oranges.
TASTE: Bitter oranges, roasted oak and dried fruits. Honey and caramel in the second wave. After a few minutes, coffee too.
