The Octave Premium Range was launched in August 2019 showcasing years of maturation expertise in Octave casks, which are about 1/8th the size of a sherry butt and each one creates around 80 to 100 bottles. So each bottling is highly limited.
Built in 1811, Port Dundas was once Scotland’s largest distillery (producing two million gallons a year in 1885), and one of the founding members of the grain distillers’ conglomerate DCL in 1877. In 2010, its owners Diageo decided to focus its grain production in Cameronbridge, and demolished Port Dundas in 2011, leaving barely a trace of what was once a historical landmark in Scotch whisky.
