Carn Mor Strictly Limited Dailuaine 2013, 8 Year Old, Red Wine Finish

Built in 1851 by William Mackenzie, a farmer from the Speyside town of Carron, Dailuaine distillery is known for its heavy, ‘meaty’ new make thanks to long fermentation times, rapid distillation and the use of stainless steel in the condensers to cut down on copper interaction. Its name comes from the Gaelic ‘An dail uaine’, which means ‘green valley’.

This bottling was finished in red wine casks to produce a single malt with notes of red berries and stewed apples with a beautifully dry finish.
