The Wemyss family comes from Fife, Scotland and their home since the 14th century is Wemyss Castle which is located on top of a cliff with caves 100 meters above the bay of Firth of Forth overlooking Edinburgh.
The family has long had a passion for malt whisky and their connection to the industry dates back to the turn of the century 1900 when John Haig (founder of the whiskey brand Haig´s) built his first distillery on land owned by the family. Even today, barley is grown on Wemyss' estates sought after by several of the leading distilleries, and the Cameron Bridge distillery is just a few kilometers from the castle.
A peaty yet minty fresh hogshead like a smoky choc chip ice cream. Delicious peaty sweet ice cream and flavours from the tropics a real showstopper. “Bucket list dram”
